The Museum is located within Framlingham Castle on the first floor of the \u201cPoorhouse\u201d (above the Castle\u2019s exhibition area), and is generally open whenever the castle is open.  Check with the English Heritage Framlingham Castle<\/a> website for access arrangements.  <\/p>\n

The Museum is normally reached at the end of the Castle\u2019s wall-walk, which is accessed by steep stone spiral stairs. There is also a lift to the first floor of the building from which there is level access to the Museum. Those needing the lift, please contact the English Heritage staff. With permission from English Heritage staff, it is also possible to access the museum from the Castle\u2019s exhibition hall by taking the easier (wooden) staircase that forms part of the (one way) exit route from the wall-walk. A \u201cno entry\u201d sign to this staircase prohibits normal access to the Museum this way, so please contact English Heritage staff to check it is possible to go the \u201cwrong way\u201d up these stairs.<\/p>\n\n\n
